There is a workaround for this "single ink tank empty-now it won't print at all" issue if you only need black print output. I was out of all 5 tanks (starter pack). I bought the 4 pack which included Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black for my MG5200. It was $55 so I decided not to buy the large bulk black ink tank as I figured it would just use the smaller black ink tank. As you pointed out, it would not print due to the single bulk black ink tank being empty.
In the print settings, I set it up as a sepia tone color doc and selected "grayscale only". It printed the "color" document in gray scale. The result was as if it was printing black directly from the bulk black ink tank. I always used last settings so nothing ever has to be set again unless I was full color.
In the transformation of the goat to the fox I made as little as necessary modifications. The parts of the image can be used 1:1. The color is changed with an image editing program. The legs are slim cut the cut edges with a black marker described. Tail and ears is your own design.
hi Michael ,did you save the file for the fox you created it looks really great and was wondering if it would be possible to get it i can use the leaping goat model for the base and for directions and from there im sure it would be easy to assemble it..
The drawing Fleet Fox von Rob has inspired me to build this paper model. It is a modification of the model "Leaping Goat". The work has given me much pleasure.
Actually it's the black nib section (with ink tube) of a Bicbiro which I removed from it's clear plastic sheath. However it slips nicely on to the tip which I snipped off at the end. I used a sharp skewer to puncture holes in the inner body supports of the pencil for the ink tube to slip through. It stays in place quite well.
thats great i was thinking about doing that too like adding an extra little thing in there to hold the pencil lead but didnt actually do they work to make it so great job im sure rob is going to love it when he sees it too
this is a great model very fun to pose and play around with.the head a bit tedious to make lots of curved lines to cut around lots of score lines and glue tabs but it does give it a nice shape.but i really like this model and its a free model so how can you go wrong.
thank you for this great site. i am 12 years old and doing automata in D.T. and this perfect for me, and i highly recommend this site to any one doing automata.
just click where it says add to cart then it should open up to your cart then click the file in the cart and the pages with the pieces should open up for you to print out
To be safe, I would contact the copyright owner and ask permission. I doubt they would object if you're giving it for free - it results in more promotion for their product.
i was doing a project from david landis's fan art series there is a disclaimer on there that basically says that these projects have trademarked characters so he will never sell them.which would make it seem as tho as long as your not selling them that your not breaking any laws.

Goat sound - nice...now, fox can chase the leaping goat - never catching it though.

how do i print it out?
A sympathetic character and beautifully designed with the possible movements. I also especially liked the three nice stop motion.

This is one awesome model. GOOD JOB! I will assemble as soon as I have time and perhaps I could post it here. ^_^
Excellent job Rob, and my first PDF download on my Android tablet. Now to make a "Jelly Bean" T-shirt for the little guy.
I pledged for David.
Anyone into 3D modeling software, might like to download the files for the cube version from here :-

I attached robs flying saucer to the turning turtle mechanism and used the desktop gremlin alien to decorate the box
That's brilliant! - RI
