Earlier this month I had the privilege of working for a week in the Atlanta International School in Georgia USA. It was the most amazing experience and I learned so much. Thanks especially to Peluchi Flores and Jane Simpkins for all their hard work making the trip happen! Thanks also to Shaun Kirkwood for his hospitality and for sharing the sights of Atlanta and environs.

We spent most of the week working in the school’s excellent maker space with groups of students from age 3 – 12+

The general theme was cranks, levers and linkages. As well as normal class sessions with a wide range of ages we had an open event where parents and children were welcome and a session for teachers to come and make.

Check below for photos of some of the goings-on. Over the next few days I’ll be posting information and downloads for all the projects used over the week starting with the grabber here.
