First draft of a butterfly model. I wanted to make the effect of a butterfly sitting on a twig opening and closing its wings. In closed position the wings need to be completely closed. In the first draft I have used paper tabs as push rods to closed the wings. I’m going to try a version with wire push rods next, they should be less obtrusive.

I’m happy with push to open rather than push to close…

The wire legs look quite good but you can’t see them behind the paper push rod. Hopefully the thinner push rods will help.
