Having pretty much sorted the mechanism for the diver project, the finishing stage is to design and make the character. I’m going with double tanks on the back of the diver for dramatic effect!

My original plan had been to make the tank hollow with a curved top, see the yellow parts in the picture below. It turns out that it was just too small and fiddly to do so I’ve opted for thickness created with rolled up tube to create multiple layers.

I’ll need to unpick this prototype and transfer the design onto the computer but so far I’m pleased with how it is coming out.
