I'm starting to get the hang of this Facebook thing. The other day I received a link to the delightful work of Jane Ryan including these beautiful wooden birds. The simple but elegant mechanism caught my eye, I enjoyed imagining how they would bob up and down as the handle is turned. 

"These would look good in paper" I thought. 

…and it turns out I was right 🙂 Here's my pendulum driven prototype inspired by the work of Jane Ryan (thanks Jane!) and coming to a printer near you soon.

Now that's social networking in action!
